My playroom, all about the new Mozilla Firefox browser (the browser formerly known as
Phoenix), and some themes I develped for it in its early days. This is my first attempt at
theming, and I have simply run out of time to keep up with the changing faces of Firefox and
Thunderbird. If you haven't yet tried Firefox, check it out at the excellent Mozilla FireFox site. Firefox is
a compact, standalone internet browser with numberous extensions to enhance feaures, themes to
customize the look, a totally customizable toolbar, and a companion standalone email client,
Mozilla Thunderbird. These will eventually replace the current Mozilla application, allowing users
to decide how they want their internet. No more all or nothing approaches.
If you haven't installed them, download a Mozilla Firefox from Mozilla.org. Version 1.5
has been released and further development is underway. Thunderbird is also on version 1.5
and has some really awesome filtering and spam features. This is a standalone
version of Mozilla mail, which I really liked, but these new spam controls are too cool.
Finally gave up and switched, even moved over my huge mail folders, and didn't lose a thing.
Try that with Outlook!
If you still have an ancient version of Firefox, I think these date from the days
when it was still known as Pheoenix, install my theme
Brassy, fairly complete but still has holes, last updated
3/11/03. Another (prior?) version available here. Maybe someday if development slows down, there is a chance I will come
back to this project and do some more, but for now it is retired. I am just not an artist,
and developing icons takes me waayyy too long ;)
